IN THE BEDROOM, is an intimate perspective of the space between the subconscious dreamworld and fantasy.  Portrayed through the feminine archetype, this personal journey is a kaleidoscopic explosion of color and imagination interwoven and juxtaposed in the stillness of the environment.

The creative process of IN THE BEDROOM  is a unique multi-layered technique producing an original one of a kind piece.  All photographs are shot on film with the use of a medium format camera.   The image is then printed and displayed in view for the collage to take form.  The “dream”  is revealed through the patience of time and the collection of imagery.  Vintage and modern illustrations are layered between acrylic sheets, arranged and re-arranged until the finality of the piece is revealed.  This subliminal expedition can take anywhere from a few days up to many months.  Occasionally due to the anomaly of dreams, the absence of vision leaves a frame void of all imagination.   The artistic intention derives not from cerebral contemplation but from the undercurrent of a sentimental world.  The pieces are available as limited edition archival pigment prints.

THE DREAM FILM

The Dream is a short film that explores the subconscious world of dreams through dance and abstract imagery. Part of my larger series In the Bedroom, the film dives into the inner landscapes we enter when we sleep — spaces where our minds are free to roam, confront, and transform.

This is less about telling a clear story and more about evoking a feeling — an invitation to experience the beauty and mystery of the dream state. Through movement and striking visuals, The Dream captures the raw power of the subconscious and the human spirit’s endless capacity to imagine, process, and heal.

THE DREAM BED INSTALLATION

Our subconscious every night has a life of its own, creating magical worlds, weird visions and sometimes psychic premonitions.  At times we wake up with the residue of a vivid world that felt real and confusion sets in when we realize it was "just a dream". Or was it?  Some ancient cultures believe that what we think is reality is actually a fantasy, a dream.  Talking animals, turbulent seas and hidden messages may color our nightscape, revealing the depths of our hearts and mind.

THE DREAM BED installation is a dialogue about what is real and what is fantasy.  A bed covered in creatures, random objects and beautiful flowers represents pieces of our fragmented beliefs of what is real. Crumpled papers filled with the dreams of individual people cover the space, ready to be opened, read and crumpled again to return to the void of nothingness.
