Javiera Estrada is a Mexican-born multimedia artist whose work

explores the intersection of psychology, spirituality, memory, and human

connection. Born in Acapulco, Mexico, and raised between cultures after

emigrating to the United States in 1989, Estrada draws inspiration from

the vivid colors, magical realism, and spiritual traditions of her

childhood.

Estrada studied photography in one of the country’s leading fine art

photography programs, where she developed the conceptual and

technical foundation for her multidisciplinary practice. Working across

photography, mixed media, textiles, installation, film, and photograms,

Estrada creates immersive and emotionally charged worlds that blur the

boundaries between the sacred and the everyday. Her work frequently

examines themes of transformation, consciousness, identity, intimacy,

and the unseen emotional landscapes that shape human experience.

Estrada has exhibited throughout the United States, Europe, and

Singapore. In 2020, her solo exhibition in Las Vegas received a

Certificate of Special Congressional Commendation for the Arts from

the United States Congress. Her work has been exhibited at the Leica

Gallery in Hollywood and featured in the Los Angeles Times for her

immersive, Twister-inspired installation exploring human connection

and play. She is also participating in this year’s LACMA Art + Film

Parade. Estrada currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
